Quarried and reconstituted stone is the centrepiece of great architecture – from Georgian and Regency times through to today’s iconic art galleries and public buildings.
In these times of high concerns over environmental issues consider reconstituted stone and the environment::
The environmental case is quite literally – and by a distance – the best amongst all forms of architectural dressings.
We in common with many other suppliers have a Green Aware Strategy that sits alongside the Ecofriendly products platform we promote. We actively check our own processes, our transport and our stone handling so that we stay on top of our environmental responsibilities. Its not only in our products but also in our processes that we stay environmentally aware.
Our stone is a natural product and misses out the entire industrial process associated with cementiocious and concrete based stone
Since the bulding boom of the 1950's there has emeged quite literally scores of suppliers of "Cast Stone". The term may suggest that the companies are very similar. Most, however, are using cementious/concrete industrial processes of manufacture, albeit sometimes offering credible alternatives.
Nowadays though there is a recognition that such cast stone does not keep good colours over time, does not weather in an appealing manner, and is also a more difficult product to dispose of due to its intrinsic additives. None of these issues affect reconstituted stone.
There is a widespread recogonition nowadays amongst specifiers, that natiral materials such as stone and wood age in a far superior manner over time, and can be an ongoing feature for genarations to come. The warmth of the natural colours also age in a manner far superior to any cementitious based product
With reconstituted natural stone we have said that the environmental case is the strongest, that it can become more beautiful with age and of critical importance it can always be easily recycled as it is, and will forever remain, a natural product
